The Major Success of Amy Winehouse
Amy Winehouse is one of the greatest names of the contemporary music. She gets famous all over the world in a very short span of time through some of her great tracks. She possess an uncanny ability to produce some fine tracks by mixing three genres; soul, jazz and R&B.
Amy attracted the critic’s eyeballs towards her from her very first album, Frank, which was released in 2003. Music critics from all over the planet praised her first work highly and later the album got nominated for one of most prestigious award of the music, the Mercury Award.
People started counting Amy among the best female voices of the world after her second album Back to Black, which was got Grammy nomination in six categories and bagged five awards. Then Amy was the first English singer to be awarded with five of the most prestigious award of the music world, the Grammy.
Back to Black went ahead to get many more awards. That was awarded with three of the “Big Four”. Apart from these, there were several other awards also were written in the album’s fate; like Ivor Novello Award, BRIT award, Record of the year and many more.
After the grand success of her second album, many more national and international success poured at the feet of Amy Winehouse. As the first female non-American singer, Amy invited to perform at the Bowery Ballroom of the New York City. Some of the tracks sang by Amy were featured in the New York radio show.
“Rehab” one of the tracks of the Amy was named as the one of the 10 best songs of the year 2007, by the prestigious Time magazine and the writer Josh Tyrangiel praised the Amy highly for her musical skills.
